Compare the Harry Potter 12-pack and Lion King 30th Anniversary Gift Set on quantity, theme, and packaging to choose the right PEZ gift for your group.
Quick answer
For a crowd, choose the Harry Potter PEZ Party Pack: its 12 individually wrapped dispensers with candy suit party favors and piñatas. For a single fan or a small, keepsake-style gift, the Lion King 30th Anniversary Gift Set delivers a themed box with two dispensers and refills at a lower price.
Why the Harry Potter pack wins on quantity and flexibility
The Harry Potter pack is built for distribution: 12 individually wrapped units mean you can hand them out without repackaging, and the random character mix keeps the reveal fun. That randomness is the trade-off—you cannot guarantee a full set or specific characters, so it works best when the goal is a shared experience rather than a curated collection.
Where the Lion King set trades quantity for presentation
The Lion King set is a single gift box containing two dispensers (Simba and Mufasa) and a six-pack of refills. It is not a party pack, but it is a ready-to-give present with a clear theme and a lower per-unit cost. If you need multiple gifts, you would buy multiple sets, which may cost more than one Harry Potter pack.
Theme and age considerations
Both are officially licensed PEZ products and suitable for ages 3 and up. Harry Potter appeals to older kids and tweens who know the characters; The Lion King’s 30th anniversary theme resonates with Disney fans of all ages. Neither set includes a specific age recommendation beyond 3+, so use your knowledge of the recipient.
Key trade-offs to decide
- Quantity vs. curation: The Harry Potter pack gives you 12 units but random characters; the Lion King set gives you two specific characters in a gift box. Choose the Harry Potter pack if you need many gifts and don’t mind variety; choose the Lion King set if you want a guaranteed pair.
- Party favor vs. single gift: Individually wrapped Harry Potter dispensers are ready for a piñata or favor bags; the Lion King set is a single ready-to-wrap present. Match the format to your event: distribution favors vs. one-on-one gifting.
- Budget per recipient: The Harry Potter pack spreads cost across 12 recipients; the Lion King set is a lower-priced single gift but buying multiples adds up. Calculate cost per person: the Harry Potter pack usually wins for large groups, while the Lion King set suits small gifting lists.
